PowerEdge T710 Tower Server Overview

The DellTM PowerEdgeTM T710 offers customer-inspired usability with excellent system and image commonality. The PowerEdge T710 features a clean, logical layout of components and power supply placement for quick installation and simplified deployment. With up to 16 hard drives and up to 144GB of memory, the Dell PowerEdge T710 is ideal for large capacity computing. Designed for virtualization, the Dell PowerEdge T710 offers Intel® Xeon® 5500 series processors, embedded hypervisors and expanded memory and I/O. Dell also provides a smart path to virtualization—a path grounded in choice and defined by industry standards. Customers can choose their hypervisor from developers such as VMware® or Microsoft® , enabling virtualization with a few clicks of a mouse. The next-generation Dell OpenManageTM suite offers simplified operations and standards-based commands. It’s designed to integrate with existing systems for effective control. Dell’s Lifecycle Controller is built to simplify administrator tasks. It can perform a complete set of provisioning functions-such as system deployment, system updates, hardware configuration and diagnostics-from a single intuitive interface called the Unified Server Configurator (USC) in a pre-OS environment. This is designed to eliminate the need for multiple pieces of disparate CD/DVD media.
